Appointments

Before

Before you make an appointment at the surgery, we would like to remind you about the other services that might be able to help.

  • Go to a pharmacy for advice and treatment for minor conditions that do not need a prescription. Read about services you can get from a pharmacist.
  • Call NHS 111 if you have an urgent medical problem, but you’re not sure what to do.
  • Visit 111.nhs.uk for urgent medical advice for people aged 5 and over only.
  • Visit a sexual health service for testing for sexually transmitted infections and contraception advice.

You do not have to make an appointment or register for these services.

If you still require an appointment with one of our Clinicians please use our online consultation facility or alternatively telephone the Practice on 01572 823531 at anytime between 8am and 6:30pm.

We currently operate a clinical triage system, where you will be triaged in the first instance by our experienced Patient Services Team who will signpost you to the most appropriate Clinician for your needs. This may not be a GP.

You will have the opportunity to book a telephone and Face-to-Face appointment depending on the need of the review.

Appointments with our clinician are normally for 10 minutes and for one problem only.

We operate a named GP list, this means that you have a named GP to provide you with continuity of care.

To ensure your appointment runs smoothly

We ask that you keep your phone available to ensure you don’t miss your booked telephone appointment.
Please arrive on time for your face to face appointment by coming to our surgery 5 minutes before your appointment.

What happens if I miss my call?

We understand that calls may be missed from time to time.

If you miss your call our clinician will attempt to call you once more, if you miss a second call then we ask you to call the Practice to rebook another telephone appointment. Please be understanding should we not be able to offer you a further appointment on the same day.
