East Midlands Ambulance Service offer free transport service for patients with mobility problems. There are also a number of community schemes run by volunteers and charities, who may charge a small fee for the service.
The VAR team operate an extensive transport scheme for frail, elderly, disabled and vulnerable people in Rutland who have difficulty in travelling independently.
