Well-Woman Screening
The Health Authority send reminders to all women due for a smear test; please ring and book an appointment with our nursing team. The team will also check blood pressure, screen urine for kidney problems and diabetes, and advise on diet, smoking, alcohol and exercise.
Well Man Screening
Appointments can be made on request with a nurse who will check blood pressure, weight, and test urine for diabetes and kidney disease.
Requests may also be made for cholesterol and prostate cancer screening tests. Advice will be given on diet, smoking, alcohol, exercise and testicular self-examination.

As part of Leicestershire County Council, our service offers a tailored stop smoking programme that is led by you.
Our team of friendly advisors deliver a free and confidential 12-week programme to help you become and stay smoke free. They will be by your side to offer support and advice on your quit journey.
You are three times more likely to stop smoking if you have support from an advisor, alongside stop smoking medications.
We will also provide you with 12 weeks’ worth of nicotine replacement therapy and all the information you need to make the right choice for you.
Quit Ready is e-cig friendly, and welcomes smokers who want to switch to vaping.
As well as speaking to you on a weekly basis, our advisors can make additional contact if you wish. This could be over the telephone, text messaging, webchat, or email – whatever suits you best.

Self-Care, treating lower back pain
Most lower back pain will get better by itself, without the need for medical intervention. However if you feel you need support then please contact the surgery to make an appointment with our Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist.
Podiatry
Patients are now able to self-refer via an online application provided on the Leicestershire Partnership NHS trust website.
Podiatrists are healthcare professionals who have been trained to diagnose and treat abnormal conditions of the feet and lower limbs. They can also treat and alleviate day-to-day foot problems, including: toenail problems, such as thickened toenails, fungal nail infections or ingrown toenails. corns and calluses.
