You and Your General Practice: Your guide to the NHS

Posted on:

Uppingham Surgery for a number of years has offered online access through AccuRx for Non-Urgent / Routine appointments, medication requests and administrative queries, e.g. FIT notes.

From 1st October 2025, this is now a contractual requirement for all GP Practices.

Any Urgent requests for care should only be made via the telephone or in-person to ensure timely care is provided.

Due to the practice already providing this service there should be no change to the service we provide.  We would ask you to in the first instance where possible always contact the practice online at:

https://accurx.nhs.uk/patient-initiated/c82077

This will help our Patient Services Team direct your query to the most appropriate person in a timely manner.  We aim to respond to all queries within 1 working day.

If you are unable access the internet, or your query is urgent, i.e. you feel it needs actioning within two days, please phone 01572 823531 (lines open between 8am to 6.30pm)

We know that getting the right help from your GP practice can sometimes feel a little confusing. That’s why we wanted to share a new guide from the NHS called ‘You and Your General Practice’.

This information provided is a great way to understand what you can expect from us and how you can get the most from the NHS. The link provided below has lots of helpful information, including:
